Tommy is a sixth grader at Maus Middle School who loves baseball, loves hanging out with his dog "Bear", is active in FACT (Frisco Areas Children's Theater), and was an active Cub Scout for several years.
His mom, Trish, is a beloved 5th-grade teacher at Sem Elementary School, and his dad, Ed, has been a local business owner in Frisco for over 20 years who has also served for the Frisco community through various boards and commissions and is currently the Panther Creek Estates HOA Chairman. Both parents have helped instill the importance of community involvement through hard work and dedication.
In August, Tommy's family got the news that their precious son had been diagnosed with a terrifying form of cancer called Burkitt’s Lymphoma. He has since been in a living nightmare of an aggressive treatment plan which includes surgery and chemotherapy. While Tommy still has a long road ahead of him, he's handling treatment like a champ! The incredible medical team at Children's Hospital is helping him navigate the daily realities he is facing and brings a smile to his face whenever they can.
Join us to walk or run in the Fight Like Tommy 5k to show Tommy and his family that the community is behind them as they walk through this difficult journey.
